2016 sees the return of a charity bike ride before the start of the Australian Mushroom Growers’ Conference.
The ride departs from Vineyard in Sydney on 6 October, arriving in Mildura on the 12th in time for the AMGA Conference. This time, the Great Ride includes The Great Ocean Road and the Great Alpine Way. Just like on the first edition (in 2010) riders raise money along the way, this time for the McGrath Foundation.
The McGrath Foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia. These nurses help families in Australia through breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis throughout treatment. The Foundation also increases breast awareness in young people.
