Last Friday, October 11, it was proudly announced that Legro has been awarded the Royal Predicate by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands. This tribute is recognition of Legro’s many years of commitment, reliability and leading position within its industry.
“We are extremely honored with this recognition. The designation Royal is truly a crowning achievement of the work of our parents and ancestors, but also of the dedication of all our employees, partners and customers. It symbolizes the respect, appreciation and trust of the King in our company and we are extremely grateful for that,” said Franc Swinkels and Sjellie Jacobs-Swinkels, Legro management.
The designation was officially awarded in the name of the King by Mayor Van Extel-van Katwijk of the Municipality of Asten. The presentation took place during the anniversary celebration on Friday, October 11, where invited guests came together to celebrate the special milestone of the 100th anniversary.
In the Netherlands, the Royal designation is granted by the King to companies, associations and institutions with a long and important history. It is only awarded to a few organizations and is a sign of exceptional achievements on a social, economic and social level. Companies that carry the designation are therefore recognized as leading and reliable in their sector.
