The sixth International Conference on Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products will be held between September 29th and October 3rd, 2008, in Bonn, Germany.

The World Society for Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products co-organises this Conference with GAMU, Institut für Pilzforschung and Tourism and Congress Ltd, region Bonn.
The organisers have opened a website were more information will become available in the near future.

The World Society for Mushroom Biology and Mushroom Products (the WSMBMP) organises an International Conference every three year. The first ICMBMP was held in Hong Kong in 1993, for the purpose of bringing together scientists who had an interest in Mushroom Biology from the standpoint of any subdivision of biology and persons who had practical economic concerns with mushrooms and mushroom products.
Later conferences were held in the US, Australia and Mexico.

In 2005, the ICMBMP was held in Shanghai, China. Hundreds of people from all over the world as well as China attended the conference and presented and discussed their research topics. Farm walks to various mushroom farms invited the participants to the world of mushroom varieties (see: In Pictures).

The 6th ICMBMP will be held in the same year as the 17th International Conference of the International Society of Mushroom Science (May, Cape Town, SA).
