The 18th edition of the Chinese Mushroom Days (CMD), which was to be held in Zhangzhou City, November 17th-19th, 2024, has been cancelled, and the program postponed and integrated in the Xiamen event in 2025.
After the last edition of the CMD, held in the Yuanshan Flirport Hotel in Xiamen in November 2023 after a four-year hiatus due to Covid (see Mushroom Business 122), the plan was to organize the event again in the traditional venue city of Zhangzhou, in November 2024.
However, due to unforeseen financial considerations, the organizers (CFNA) had to cancel this year’s event.
According to the Edible Fungi Chamber of the China Chamber of Commerce of Import & Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA), the program of the cancelled CMD event will now be integrated in the ‘Xiamen International Mushroom Days’ in April 22-24, 2025.
