Global business development, new nourishing and purchasing trends influencing the fruit and vegetable market as well as innovations aiming at more ecological production, increasing water use efficiency and reducing the human labour were this year’s hot issues at Fruit Logistica 2018 in Berlin. Among the many exhibitors there were about 50 companies connected to the mushroom sector, many of them from The Netherlands and Poland, where mushrooms build an important part of the general production volume of fresh ‘vegetables’.
